Tyrosine kinase activity is required for signal transduction through the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). The Src family tyrosine kinase Lck appears to play a key role in the initiation of TCR signaling events. We have investigated the role of the phosphotyrosine-binding Src homology-2 (SH2), domain of Lck in TCR signaling.
