Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the separation of the subfractions of the serum triacylglycerols (TAG) by the method of thin layer chromatography (TLC). The neutral serum lipids are separated by preparative TLC on silica gel G plates using pharmaceutical benzine: diethyl ether: glacial acetic acid (85:15:2, v/v) after their extraction from the serum with chloroform: methanol (2:1, v/v).
