Uppsala University, Sweden ,_ I We demonstrate a system for comparing students’ exercises and detecting plagiarism, Bladerunner. Given the file names of a number of exercises, itcross-compares them all, both -the exercise as a whole and its parts, and reports all exercises regarded as too similar. Naturally, this list must be verified by a human afterwards, partly due to the very nature of the problem and partly because some pairs may be due to coincidences. However, much work is saved.
