This paper summarises the results of 201 counts of the Anatidae at Barberspan for the period February 1971 to December 1975. Fifteen species are discussed individually. The Yellowbilled Duck was the most numerous of the family. Numbers of the South African Shelduck peaked in November each year to coincide with the annual flightless moult.
