SB-202742 [1], an anacardic acid derivative possessing beta-lactamase inhibitory activity, has been isolated from a hexane extract of the plant, Spondias mombin. Its isolation, structure determination, and biological activity are reported herein.
Beta-lactamase inhibitory component from the roots of Fissistigma cavaleriei.
ß-Lactamase Inhibitors from Anacardium occidentale
TLDR
The results showed clearly the ß-lactamase inhibitory activity of CNSL and anacardic acids on S. aureus enzyme, without activity on PLP 2a.
Phytosterols from Spondias mombin Linn with Antimycobacterial Activities.
TLDR
The stem bark extractives of S. mombin contain antitubercular principles of the class phytosterol and support an important potential of triterpenoids and support the search for new anti-Mtb agents from higher plants.
Phytosterols from Spondias mombin Linn with Antimycobacterial Activities
TLDR
The stem bark extractives of S. mombin contain antitubercular principles of the class phytosterol and support an important potential of triterpenoids and support the search for new anti-Mtb agents from higher plants.
Anticholinesterase constituents from the leaves of Spondias mombin L. (Anacardiaceae)
TLDR
The isolated cholinesterase inhibitory compounds correlate with the known memory-enhancing property of the plant and thus support one of its uses in ethnomedicine.
Bioassay-guided isolation of antiplasmodial anacardic acids derivatives from the whole plants of Viola websteri Hemsl
The petroleum ether extract of Viola websteri Hemsl. (Violaceae) was investigated for its activity against chloroquine-sensitive strains of Plasmodium falciparum using the parasite lactate
Current Challenges in Antimicrobial Chemotherapy
TLDR
This review describes all the types of molecules already tested as potential β-lactamase inhibitors and constitutes an update of the current status in β- lactam enzyme inhibitor discovery.
Anti-Tubercular Compounds from Spondias Mombin
TLDR
Theings show that Spondias mombin accumulates antimycobacterial compo unds that may serve as an important potential source for anti-tubercula r agents.
