The Ninth Catalogue of Spectroscopic Binary Orbits (http://sb9.astro.ulb.ac.be) continues the series of compilations of spectroscopic orbits carried out over the past 35 years by Batten and collaborators. As of 2004 May 1st, the new Catalogue holds orbits for 2386 systems. Some essential differences between this catalogue and its predecessors are outlined and three straightforward applications are presented: (1) completeness assessment: period distribution of SB1s and SB2s; (2) shortest periods… Expand

Orbit Determination of the Single-lined Spectroscopic Binaries by Using the Revised Hipparcos Intermediate Astrometric Data
• Physics
• 2010
By fitting the revised Hipparcos intermediate astrometric data (HIAD), we obtain the photocentric orbital solutions of some single-lined spectroscopic binaries (SB1s) in the 9th Catalogue of OrbitsExpand
A catalogue of chromospherically active binary stars (third edition)
The catalogue of chromospherically active binaries (CABs) has been revised and updated. With 203 new identifications, the number of CAB stars is increased to 409. The catalogue is available inExpand
Catalogue and Properties of δ Scuti Stars in Binaries
• Physics
• 2017
The catalogue contains 199 confirmed cases of binary systems containing at least one pulsating component of {\delta} Scuti type. The sample is divided into subgroups in order to describe theExpand
ORBIT DETERMINATION OF DOUBLE-LINED SPECTROSCOPIC BINARIES BY FITTING THE REVISED HIPPARCOS INTERMEDIATE ASTROMETRIC DATA
• Physics
• 2010
Untill now, the Hipparcos intermediate astrometric data (HIAD) have contributed little to the full orbit determination of double-lined spectroscopic binaries (SB2s). This is because the photocenterExpand
Eclipsing Am binary systems in the SuperWASP survey
The results of a search for eclipsing Am star binaries using photometry from the SuperWASP survey are presented. The light curves of 1742 Am stars fainter than V = 8.0 were analysed for the presenceExpand
Astrometric orbits of S~B~^9 stars
• Physics
• 2005
Hipparcos Intermediate Astrometric Data (IAD) have been used to derive astrometric orbital elements for spectroscopic binaries from the newly released Ninth Catalogue of Spectroscopic Binary OrbitsExpand
XHIP: An extended hipparcos compilation
• Physics
• 2012
We present the Extended Hipparcos Compilation (XHIP), a database of all stars in the New Reduction of the Hipparcos Catalog extensively cross-referenced with data from a broad survey of presentlyExpand
The Updated Multiple Star Catalog
The catalog of hierarchical stellar systems with three or more components is an update of the original 1997 version of the MSC. For two thousand hierarchies, the new MSC provides distances,Expand
Orbital solutions for six spectroscopic binaries with circular or nearly circular orbits
• Physics
• 2010
Six southern spectroscopic binary systems were selected in this programme. The systems selected were shown to have circular or nearly circular orbits (e < 0.1) from earlier published solutions ofExpand
Radial velocities of 35 495 Hipparcos stars in a common system
The Pulkovo Compilation of Radial Velocities (PCRV) catalogue has been produced to study stellar kinematics in the local spiral arm. The PCRV contains the mean weighted absolute radial velocities ofExpand
