We report herein the synthesis and characterization of two monometallic ruthenium(II) and osmium(II) complexes of composition [(bpy)2M(HImzPPy)] (ClO4)2 derived from pyrenylimidazole-10-pyridin-2-yl-9H-9,11-diazacyclopenta[e]pyrene (HImzPPy) and 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) ligands. X-ray crystallographic study shows that both crystals belong to the triclinic system having space group P1̅. The photophysical properties of 1 and 2 in acetonitrile indicate that the metal-to-ligand charge-transfer excited… Expand

Balancing the acidity of the pendant urea arm of bis-heteroleptic ruthenium(ii) complex containing pyridyl triazole for improved oxyanion recognition.
TLDR
The role of triazole C-H and urea in the RuII-based bis-heteroleptic ditopic receptors towards recognition of anions is generalized and shows selective binding of 1[PF 6]2 and 2[PF6]2 toward oxyanions such as phosphates and carboxylates like 3[PF8]2. Expand

Syntheses, crystal structures and steady state and time-resolved fluorescence properties of a PET based macrocycle and its dinuclear ZnII/CdII/HgII complexes.
TLDR
It has been established that H2L can be reasonably considered as a PET species in which the fluorophore is 4-ethylphenol and the binding constants, as determined from titration experiments, qualitatively corroborate the results of metal ion competition studies. Expand
