We call "Violent" (from portuguese: velocity and direction), a context-aware routing protocol that aims at obtaining and processing environment data such as velocity and direction of nodes as they establish contacts with each other in delay-tolerant networks (DTNs). This context information is used by the proposed algorithm - along with the node's position and time of the last encounter with other nodes - to estimate the position of the recipients of messages.
