This work is the second part of the set of measurements ofv sini for A-type stars, begun by Royer et al. (2002). Spectra of 249 B8 to F2-type stars brighter than V= 7 have been collected at Observatoire de Haute-Provence (OHP). Fourier transforms of several line profiles in the range 4200-4600 A are used to derivev sini from the frequency of the first zero. Statistical analysis of the sample indicates that measurement error mainly depends onv sini and this relative error of the rota- tional… Expand
Rotational velocities of A-type stars ?;?? I. Measurement of v sini in the southern hemisphere
Within the scope of a Key Programme determining fundamental parameters of stars observed by HIPPARCOS, spectra of 525 B8 to F2-type stars brighter than V = 8 have been collected at ESO. FourierExpand
Rotational Velocities of Southern B Stars and a Statistical Discussion of the Rotational Properties
We have measured the projected rotational velocities of 1023 southern B stars listed in the Bright Star Catalog (BSC) and calibrated them against the 1975 Slettebak et al. system. We joined theExpand
The interferometric diameter and internal structure of Sirius A
The interferometric observations of dwarf stars in the solar neighbourhood, combined with Hipparcos parallaxes provide very precise values of their linear diameters. In this paper, we report theExpand
ROTATION AND SURFACE ABUNDANCE PECULIARITIES IN A-TYPE STARS
In an attempt of clarifying the connection between the photospheric abundance anomalies and the stellar rotation as well as of exploring the nature of “normal A” stars, the abundances of sevenExpand
Spectroscopic and photometric analysis of NSV 24512: an early-type eclipsing binary embedded in a dust cloud
We present differential V-band photometric observations and the first radial velocities of NSV 24512, which is embedded in the Serpens star-forming region. This double-lined system has an eccentricExpand
Photoelectric Radial Velocities, Paper XVIII Spectroscopic Orbits for Another 52 Binaries in the Hyades Field
Spectroscopic orbits are presented for 52 stars in the Hyades field, of which 41 prove to be actual members of the Hyades (with some reservations in two cases). Most of the stars concerned have notExpand
Short-term variability and mass loss in Be stars
Context. In early-type Be stars, groups of nonradial pulsation (NRP) modes with numerically related frequencies may be instrumental for the release of excess angular momentum through mass-ejectionExpand
Mode stability in δ Scuti stars: linear analysis versus observations in open clusters
A comparison between linear stability analysis and observations of pulsation modes in five δ Scuti stars, belonging to the same cluster, is presented. Th e study is based on the work by Michel et al.Expand
Interferometric observations of hot stars
Accurate determination of fundamental stellar properties is of vital importance in understanding and testing models of stellar structure and evolution. To date, most stars with independentExpand
CoRoT photometry and high-resolution spectroscopy of the interacting eclipsing binary AU Monocerotis
Analyses of very accurate CoRoT space photometry, past Johnson V photoelectric photometry and high-resolution echelle spectra led to the determination of improved and consistent fundamental stellarExpand
