We study the thermodynamics of the recently-discovered non-extremal charged rotating black holes of gauged supergravities in five, seven and four dimensions, obtaining energies, angular momenta and charges that are consistent with the first law of thermodynamics. We obtain their supersymmetric limits by using these expressions together with an analysis of the AdS superalgebras including R-charges. We give a general discussion of the global structure of such solutions, and apply it in the…
Degenerate black rings in D = 5 minimal supergravity
We consider both gauged and ungauged minimal supergravities in five dimensions and analyse the charged rotating solutions with two equal angular momenta J . When the electric charge Q ∼ J2/3 with
Mass of rotating black holes in gauged supergravities
The masses of several recently-constructed rotating black holes in gauged supergravities, including the general such solution in minimal gauged supergravity in five dimensions, have until now been
AdS black holes from duality in gauged supergravity
A bstractWe study and utilize duality transformations in a particular STU-model of four dimensional gauged supergravity. This model is a truncation of the de Wit-Nicolai $ \mathcal{N} $ =8 theory and
Rotating BPS black holes in matter-coupled AdS4 supergravity
Using the general recipe given in arXiv:0804.0009, where all timelike super-symmetric solutions of $ \mathcal{N} = 2 $, D = 4 gauged supergravity coupled to abelian vector multiplets were classified,
The near-horizon geometry of supersymmetric rotating AdS4 black holes in M-theory
We classify the necessary and sufficient conditions to obtain the near-horizon geometry of extremal supersymmetric rotating black holes embedded in 11d supergravity. Such rotating black holes admit
Ultra-spinning gauged supergravity black holes and their Kerr/CFT correspondence
Recently a new class of asymptotically AdS ultra-spinning black holes has been constructed with a noncompact horizon of finite area [1], in which the asymptotic rotation is effectively boosted to the
Comments on supersymmetric solutions of minimal gauged supergravity in five dimensions
We investigate supersymmetric solutions of minimal gauged supergravity in five dimensions, in the timelike class. We propose an ansatz based on a four-dimensional local orthotoric Kähler metric and
General nonextremal rotating black holes in minimal five-dimensional gauged supergravity.
The general solution for nonextremal charged rotating black holes in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity is constructed, and it is shown how supersymmetric solutions arise in a Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield limit.

Causality violation and naked time machines in AdS5
We study supersymmetric charged rotating black holes in AdS5, and show that closed timelike curves occur outside the event horizon. Also upon lifting to rotating D3 brane solutions of type-IIB
The Large-N Limit of Superconformal Field Theories and Supergravity
We show that the large-N limits of certainconformal field theories in various dimensions includein their Hilbert space a sector describing supergravityon the product of anti-de Sitter spacetimes,
General (Anti-)de Sitter black holes in five dimensions
We find a general class of rotating charged black hole solutions to N = 2, D = 5 gauged supergravity coupled to vector supermultiplets. The supersymmetry properties of these solutions are studied,
Black holes of D = 5 supergravity
We discuss some general features of black holes of five-dimensional supergravity, such as the first law of black hole mechanics. We also discuss some special features of rotating supersymmetric black
Bubbling AdS space and 1/2 BPS geometries
We consider all 1/2 BPS excitations of AdS × S configurations in both type-IIB string theory and M-theory. In the dual field theories these excitations are described by free fermions. Configurations
