The imposition of a constraint between the metric tensor elements in both three- and four-dimensional, rotating AdS space-times is shown to reduce the number of independent equations of motion and to result in new families of solutions to the equations of motion. For the geometries investigated analytic solutions or partial analytic solutions of the equations of motion are obtained. In all cases the number of independent field equations is less than the number of independent functions… Expand

Topological or rotational non-Abelian gauge fields from Einstein-Skyrme holography
We report analytically known states at non-zero temperature which may serve as a powerful tool to reveal common topological and thermodynamic properties of systems ranging from the QCD phase diagramExpand

Three dimensional black holes and cylindrical general relativity
Abstract A black string solution of the four dimensional Einstein-Hilbert action, S = 1 16πG ∫ d 4X −g (R−2Λ) , in a cylindrical spacetime is found. The three dimensional dilaton-gravity theoryExpand
Black holes and asymptotics of 2 + 1 gravity coupled to a scalar field
We consider $2+1$ gravity minimally coupled to a self-interacting scalar field. The case in which the fall-off of the fields at infinity is slower than that of a localized distribution of matter isExpand
Rotating, charged, and uniformly accelerating mass in general relativity
Abstract A new general class of solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations is presented. It depends on seven arbitrary parameters that group in a natural way into three complex parameters m + in , aExpand
Rotating Topological Black Holes
A class of metrics solving Einstein’s equations with negative cosmological constant and representing rotating, topological black holes is presented. All such solutions are in the Petrov type-D class,Expand
Regular and black hole solutions in the Einstein-Skyrme theory with negative cosmological constant
We study spherically symmetric regular and black hole solutions in the Einstein–Skyrme theory with a negative cosmological constant. The Skyrme field configuration depends on the value of theExpand
Geometry of the 2+1 black hole.
The geometry of the spinning black holes of standard Einstein theory in 2+1 dimensions, with a negative cosmological constant, and without couplings to matter, is analyzed in detail. It is shown thatExpand
The AdS / CFT correspondence and a new positive energy conjecture for general relativity
We examine the AdS-CFT correspondence when gauge theory is considered on a compactified space with supersymmetry-breaking boundary conditions. We find that the corresponding supergravity solution hasExpand
SKYRMION AND SKYRME-BLACK HOLES IN de SITTER SPACETIME
Numerical arguments are presented for the existence of regular and black hole solutions of the Einstein–Skyrme equations with a positive cosmological constant. These classical configurations approachExpand
Internal structure of the Skyrme black hole
We consider the internal structure of the Skyrme black hole under a static and spherically symmetric ansatz. $@u8(Be concentrate on solutions with the node number one and with the "winding" numberExpand
ANTI-DE SITTER SPACE, THERMAL PHASE TRANSITION AND CONFINEMENT IN GAUGE THEORIES
The correspondence between supergravity (and string theory) on AdS space and boundary conformal field theory relates the thermodynamics of super-Yang–Mills theory in four dimensions to theExpand
