A gram-negative, non-flagellated and ovoid- to rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated GSW-M15T, was isolated from seawater on the southern coast of South Korea. Strain GSW-M15T grew optimally at 30 °C, at pH 7.0–7.5 and in the presence of 2 % (w/v) NaCl. The phylogenetic trees based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain GSW-M15T belonged to the genus Roseovarius. Strain GSW-M15T exhibited highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values (98.3 and 97.5 %) to Roseovariushalotolerans…
