Tank vehicles have quite poor roll stability in driving. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to investigate tankers’ roll stability by vehicle dynamic modeling. As a fluid–solid coupling multi-body system, tank vehicle’s dynamic modeling must take liquid sloshing into account. The conventional solution on liquid sloshing by hydrodynamics is difficult and time-consuming, and the modeling of tankers obtained by this method was a distributed parameter system with infinite degree of freedoms…
Dynamical analysis of B-train vehicle combination with liquid cargo
In this work, a combination of B-train type vehicle is dynamically analysed through lateral movement at low speed manoeuvre known as Lane Change Manoeuvre to verify a great variation of load in the wheels due to transfer of load of the vehicle travelling by curved trajectory or due to evasive manoeuvres.
Numerical analysis on the sloshing of free oil liquid surface based on fuel tanks of different shapes
The shape of fuel tank is one of the main factors influencing oil liquid sloshing in fuel tank without baffles. The change of oil liquid sloshing pressure and free oil liquid surface area in fuel
Numerical analysis on the sloshing of free oil liquid surface under the variable conditions of vehicle
Oil liquid sloshing is the sloshing of free oil liquid surface in the fuel tank filled partially. The variable conditions of vehicle mainly include braking, acceleration, and deceleration. It is

Oil liquid sloshing is a normal physical phenomenon in fuel tank under variable conditions of vehicles. Installing baffles in fuel tank is an effective method to suppress oil liquid sloshing. The
Influencing analysis of different baffle factors on oil liquid sloshing in automobile fuel tank
Oil liquid sloshing is a common phenomenon in automobile fuel tank under variable working conditions. Installing baffles in automobile fuel tank is the most effective way to suppress adverse
Efficient Mounting of a Tank for the Transport of Flammable Liquids on a Freight Vehicle
The design and construction of tanks used for the carriage of dangerous liquid materials fall within strict standards (i.e., EN13094:2015, R111). According to these standards, their supporting
Motion Stability of Fire Ladder Truck Under Braking Process Working Conditions
During the fire extinguishing process, the motion stability of the fire ladder truck can be affected by the jet reaction forces of the fire water monitor, lengths, vertical angles and horizontal
Static force and tipover stability analysis of an assistive device for paraplegics
Kinematics modeling and static force analysis provide critical information about position and loading at different points on the device and the results verify that although the system is well within the stability bounds, it is more stable as it moves from sitting position to standing position.

Three-dimensional analysis of transient slosh within a partly-filled tank equipped with baffles
The results in general suggest that the mean responses attained from dynamic fluid slosh analyses correlate well with those attained from the quasi-static analyses for a clean bore tank, and that the presence of baffles helps to suppress the peak as well as mean slosh forces and moments significantly.
