Myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1), a member of the B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2) family, has been reported to be a critical survival factor in hematopoietic cells, yet little data exists for a role of Mcl-1 in human oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
