The involvement of adenylate cyclase-cyclic adenosine monophosphate (AC-cAMP) in gonadotropin-stimulated testicular steroidogenesis is well known. Little is known about the role of guanylate cyclase-cyclic guanosine monophosphate (GC-cGMP) or early chloride conductance stimulated by gonadotropins in steroidogenesis.
