Role of cellular factors in pathogenesis of nervous complications of typhoid vaccination

Abstract

Following in t r ade rma l injection of typhoid bac t e r i a in F reund ' s incomplete adjuvant, without the addition of b ra in t i ssue, into guinea pigs , the sensi t iv i ty of cel ls of the regional lymph glands and per i tonea l exudate to b ra in antigens was increased even in the ea r ly per iods , and it remained high throughout the per iod of observat ion. Spleen cel ls exhibited inc reased r e s i s tance to bra in antigens.
