Role of Quantum Coherence in Thermodynamics
@inproceedings{Gour2022RoleOQ, title={Role of Quantum Coherence in Thermodynamics}, author={Gilad Gour}, year={2022} }
We find necessary and sufficient conditions to determine the inter-convertibility of quantum systems under time-translation covariant evolution, and use it to solve several problems in quantum thermodynamics both in the single-shot and asymptotic regimes. It is well known that the resource theory of quantum athermality is not reversible, but in PRL 111, 250404 (2013) it was claimed that the theory becomes reversible “provided a sublinear amount of coherent superposition over energy levels is…

Continuity of quantum entropic quantities via almost convexity
- Computer Science, Mathematics
- 2022
This work introduces the almost locally affine (ALAFF) method, which allows us to prove a great variety of continuity bounds for the derived entropic quantities and proves almost concavity for the Umegaki relative entropy and the BS-entropy.
Smooth Metric Adjusted Skew Information Rates
- Computer Science, Mathematics
- 2022
It is proven that the smooth metric adjusted skew information rates provide a lower bound for the coherence cost and an upper Bound for the distillable coherence.
