Riboflavin as a photosensitizer. Effects on human health and food quality.
Riboflavin photosensitization becomes critical for degradation of proteins, unsaturated lipids, and folate, thiamine, ascorbate and other vitamins during light exposure of food during storage.

The Biology of Pteridines in Insects
The knowledge and insight of the biological role of pterines in insects exemplifies a pattern of common biological interest: a fundamental physiological process common to all organisms provides the starting point for a new selection process in physiological development.
Wiedererscheinen von Tetrahydrobiopterin in der Regenerationsknospe von Triturus-Arten
Tetrahydrobiopterin which is present in larval skin of Triturus completely disappears after metamorphosis. In T. cristatus it is mainly riboflavin which remains in the dorsal skin, while in T.

Quantitative data are presented on the distribution of pteridines, primarily xanthopterin, leucopter in, erythropterin, and sepiapterin, in adults and developing pupae of the butterfly Colias eurytheme, and it was concluded that Colias forms the pteridine ring from guanosine with loss of the guanoine carbon atom 8.
Quantitative Bestimmung der hydrierten Pterine und des Xanthommatins in den Augen von Ceratitis capitata WIED (Dipt. Trypetidae)
In the eyes of male and female flies a quantitative determination of the tetrahydropterin, the corresponding dihydro-compound (Sepiapterin) and of xanthommatin from 0—5 days after hatching was made.
