First published as ‘Colour Aids Rheumatology’ in 1984 and as ‘Rheumatology: Colour Guide’ in 1992 this small book and indeed the Colour Guides series seeks to confirm the old adage that, interalia, “...a picture paints a thousands words”. The book features clinical and imaging photographs of common rheumatological conditions ranging from rheumatoid arthritis to Reiter’s disease, and juvenile chronic arthritis to osteoporosis. Along with pictures, Rheumatology: Colour Guides includes succinct details of each condition, generally under the headings of: definition, prevalence, aetiology, clinical features, radiological features, laboratory features and management.
