The Blister Bush, Rhadinothamnus anceps (DC.) P.G. Wilson (Rutaceae) is the adult host plant of the Western Australian jewel beetle Melobasis wannerua Carter, 1936 (Coleoptera: Buprestidae). The original information on the biology of this species (viz. Douglas, 1980) was incorrect in determining the host plant as Phebalium argenteum. This is a synonym of Phebalium squamulosum Vent. ssp. argenteum P.G. Wilson, which is an eastern Australian species. This is the only known published adult host… Expand
