The Nearctic species of Allophroides Horstmann and of Gelanes Horstmann were undescribed until now. In this paper, all known species of Allophroides (six species) and thirteen species of Gelanes are included in keys and described as new: Allophroides flavilabris, A. granulatus, A. laevipleuris, A. obscurus, A. salicicola, A. tenuicauda, Gelanes brevicornis, G. clavicornis, G. flavopictus, G. frontalis, G. incisus, G. intermedius, G. montanus, G. nigrinus, G. pleroneurae, G. punctipleuris, G…

Contribution to the taxonomy of Mexican Tersilochinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae), with descriptions of five new species

Five new species of Tersilochinae (Ichneumonidae) are described from Mexico, with a partial key to the species of Meggoleus with small propodeal spiracles and a key to Mexican species of Phradis.

First record of the genera Diaparsis Förster and Phradis Förster (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Tersilochinae) from Mexico

Two genera are extremely rare in the Mexican fauna, being represented by single specimens from a large amount of ichneumonids examined in many Mexican and USA collections.

Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) associated with xyelid sawflies (Hymenoptera, Xyelidae) in Mexico

Two species of ichneumon wasps (Ichneumonidae) and the genera Gelanes Horstmann and Idiogramma Förster are associated with xyelid sawflies (Xyelidae), and both, as well as the tryphonine tribe Idiogramsmatini, are recorded from Mexico for the first time.

Labilochus brevipalpis, a new genus and species with extremely long mouthparts (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Tersilochinae) from Mexico

The new genus is distinguished from all other Tersilochinae taxa by its extremely long glossa and galeae in combination with short maxillary and labial palps, and both palps with reduced number of palpomeres.

Review of the European species of the genus Gelanes Horstmann (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Tersilochinae), parasitoids of xyelid sawflies (Hymenoptera: Xyelidae)

Twelve species of the genus Gelanes occur in Europe; all these species are parasitoids of Xyela larvae developing in staminate pine cones, and six of them are described in this paper.

BIOLOGICAL STUDIES OF BUD MINING SAWFLIES, PLERONEURA SPP. (HYMENOPTERA: XYELIDAE), ON WHITE FIR IN THE CENTRAL SIERRA NEVADA OF CALIFORNIA: I. LIFE CYCLES, NICHE UTILIZATION, AND INTERACTION BETWEEN LARVAL FEEDING AND TREE GROWTH

The previously unknown biologies of three species of bud mining sawflies occurring in the central Sierra Nevada Mountains are compared and competition does not appear to be a major limiting factor even though the three species occupy the same niche.

BIOLOGICAL STUDIES OF BUD MINING SAWFLIES, PLERONEURA SPP. (HYMENOPTERA: XYELIDAE), ON WHITE FIR IN THE CENTRAL SIERRA NEVADA OF CALIFORNIA: III. MORTALITY FACTORS OF EGG, LARVAL, AND ADULT STAGES AND A PARTIAL LIFE TABLE

Abstract The mortality factors for three species of Pleroneura were identified for the egg, larval, and adult stages. Allophroides n.sp. and Scambus transgressus (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) were

Rearing and Occurrence of Xyelid Sawflies on Slash and Longleaf Pines in North Florida (Hymenoptera: Xyelidae)

Soil-filled clay pots, sunk in the ground, were used for rearing Xyela pini Rohwer from mature larvae taken on slash pine, and X. bakeri Konow from larvae found on both slash pine and longleaf pine.
