The rich molluscan fauna from the Middle Danian (Early Paleocene) of Fakse contains five species of the gastropod family Scissurellidae Gray, 1847. This revision recognizes three new species, viz. Anatoma rosenkrantzi sp. nov., Praescissurella? ravni sp. nov. and Scissurella (s. l.) aliceae sp. nov. Anatoma danica Bandel, 1998 is considered a junior synonym of Leptomaria niloticiformis (von Schlotheim, 1820). The palaeoecoelogy of this scissurellid and pleurotomarid fauna and the associated…

. (2012). Previously this facies was informally called nose-limestone‘ ’. The morphology of originally aragonitic mollusc shells has been preserved in this facies, due to early recrystallisation of
Bite traces in a turtle carapace fragment from the middle Danian (Lower Paleocene) bryozoan limestone, Faxe, Denmark
A fragment of a turtle carapace from the Middle Danian bryozoan limestone at the Faxe quarry, eastern Denmark, is identified as a partial costal plate from the carapace of a chelonioid turtle. The
Phylogenetic assessment of characters proposed for the generic classification of Recent Scissurellidae (Gastropoda : Vetigastropoda) with a description of one new genus and six new species from Easter Island and Australia
TLDR
Cladistic analysis based on shell and radular characteristics, using autapomorphies to code inapplicables, revealed several patterns and revealed that scissurelline protoconch sculpture is highly homoplastic.
The fauna of a Danian fossil Conservation Lagerstätten from the cold-water coral mound complex at Faxe, Denmark
Abstract Fossil cold-water coral mound ecosystems are rare in geological history. One of the best known examples are the Danian coral mounds of Faxe comprising a complex interplay between corals,
