A new species of black fly belonging to the subgenus Dzlytosimuliunt Peterson is reported from the Daisetsu Mountains, Hokkaido, Japan. In additien to the description of this species, partial amendment of the diagnosis of the subgenus Distosimuliu・ne defined by Peterson, B. V. (1970) is presented. Since Peterson (1970) designed the subgenus Distosimulium from the solitary species, Prosimulium pleu'rale Malloch, 1914, none species newly assigned to this subgenus has been reported, So, there was… CONTINUE READING
