Revision of Historical and Current Distribution of Pholiurus Pannonicus (Host.) Trin. in Slovakia Historical and current occurrence of the obligate halophyte Pholiurus pannonicus was studied in Slovakia during the period 2003-2009. The species had been occurring in the Podunajská nížina Lowland and the Východoslovenská nížina Lowland; 30 localities were found in total. Recently the number of localities has decreased markedly and the species was confirmed only in the Podunajská nížina Lowland…

The Revision of Historical and Current Distribution of Hordeum Geniculatum All. (Poaceae) In Slovakia
TLDR
Due to the sharp decrease in the number of sites and proper habitats, Hordeumgeniculatum is re-evaluated as endangered (EN) plant of Slovak flora.

Distribution and ecology of Carex secalina in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Current and historical occurrence as well as coenotic affinity and ecology of Carex secalina in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are presented. The study is based on revision of herbarium specimens
Succession of Saline Vegetation in Slovakia after a Large-Scale Disturbance
TLDR
It is concluded that population fluxes after adverse human disturbance and subsequent abandonment are very high, and succession of halophytic communities after such a strong disturbance is very fast, leading to deterioration of the habitat.
Hordeumgeniculatum in the Pannonian Basin: Ecological requirements and grassland vegetation on salt-affected soils
Hordeum geniculatum is considered as an obligate halophyte, but exact data about ecological requirements of the species are lacking. Therefore, species response curves of H. geniculatum were obtained
Cultural landscape and plant use at the Phoenician site of Motya (Western Sicily, Italy) inferred from a disposal pit
The present study concerns the Phoenician-Punic site of Motya, a small island set in Western Sicily (Italy), in the Marsala Lagoon (Stagnone di Marsala), between Trapani and Marsala. A big disposal
Invading a new niche: obligatory weeds at Neolithic Atlit-Yam, Israel
A characteristic group of obligatory weeds was found in the well of the submerged Pre-Pottery Neolithic C site of Atlit-Yam, Israel. Identifying these finds to species level was crucial for defining
