title={Review of the leaf-rolling weevils of Israel (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea: Rhynchitidae and Attelabidae)},
author={Andrei A. Legalov and Ariel Leib and Leon Friedman},
Fourteen species of Rhynchitidae and one species of Attelabidae are reported from Israel. Neocoenorhinidius cribrum (Desbrochers), Rhodocyrtus cribripennis (Desbrochers), Mechoris ungaricus (Herbst), Epirhynchites trojanus (Gyllenhal), E. smyrnensis (Desbrochers), Rhynchites bacchus (Linnaeus), R. lenaeus Faust and Byctiscus betulae Linnaeus are reported for the first time; and Lasiorhynchites freidbergi Legalov & Friedman and Epirhynchites friedmani Legalov are described as new. It was demonstrated that rolling of the leaves causes on average 9 times more damage to the trees than maturation feeding of the beetles.
A New Country Record of the Leaf-Rolling Weevil Lasiorhynchites Jekel, 1860 (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea: Attelabidae: Rhynchitini) in Turkey
The fauna of leaf-rolling weevils in Turkey is still poorly known, except for the studies by Erol (1994a, b) and several field collecting trips were conducted in eastern Mediterranean Turkey during 2002–2018.
Attelabus Nitens (Scop.) – an Abundant but Biologically Little Known Species from the Family of Attelabidae (Coleoptera)
The species develops through two larval instars, which damage 1.7 to 2.3 cm2 of leaves and come of age towards the end of the growing season and the study deals with the biology of Attelabus nitens (Scop.) in the Brno region.
A contribution to the knowledge of biology and harmfulness of Deporaus betulae (L.) (Coleoptera, Attelabidae)
The paper deals with the occurrence, development and harmfulness of Deporaus betulae (L.), a representative of the speciesnot very extensive but biologically exceedingly interesting family of leaf-rolling weevils (Attelabidae) (Curculionoidea).
Investigation of the morphology, biology and infestation of Mecorhis ungarica (Herbst, 1783) (Coleoptera: Rhynchitidae) associated with rosehip plants (Rosa spp.) 1 Kuşburnu bitkileri üzerinde bulunan Mecorhis ungarica (Herbst, 1783) (Coleoptera: Rhynchitidae)'nin morfoloji, biyoloji ve zararinin ar
The morphology, biology and infestation of Mecorhis ungarica (Herbst, 1783) (Coleoptera: Rhynchitidae), which damaged rosehip fruits in Erzincan province in 2007-2008, was determined.
Occurrence, Biology and Harmfulness of Byctiscus betulae (L.) (Coleoptera, Rhynchitidae)
Leaf rolls were found on 13 species (and 10 genera) of woody plants and most frequently, they occurred on Fagus sylvatica, Tilia spp.
Review of the biodiversity and zoogeographical patterns of the weevils (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea) in Israel.
Th e rich but poorly studied weevil (Curculionoidea) fauna in Israel is briefl y reviewed, highlighting the uniqueness of its high biodiversity and zoogeographical pattern. Th e collection eff orts

Revision of the simulans‐group of Euops Schoenherr (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea, Attelabidae) from the Papuan region
The “simulans-group” of Euops Schoenherr is described and the characters relevant for their identification, especially the male genitalia, are illustrated.
Contribution to the knowledge of Curculionoidea (Coleoptera) and their host plants in Israel
