The leafhopper genus Lampridius Distant, 1918 (type species: L. spectabilis Distant, 1918) is redescribed, and a second species, L. cuspidatus sp. nov. (Thailand: Loei), is described. A related new genus Paralampridius gen. nov. and four new species are described: P. mimicus sp. nov. (China: Guangdong, Hainan), P. rotundatus sp. nov. (Thailand: Loei), P. sinuatus sp. nov. (Thailand: Loei, Suphanburi, Petchaburi), and P. truncatus sp. nov. (Thailand: Chaiyaphum, Ubon Ratchathani). Both genera…

A remarkable new opsiine leafhopper genus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) from Southern China, with notes on its phylogenetic position

The molecular results placed the new genus in a clade comprising Hishimonus Ishihara, Opsius Fieber, and an undescribed genus from Zambia, and the phylogenetic analysis suggests Opsiini is monophyletic and supports the placement of Yinformibus gen. nov. in opsiini.

A new genus Vittaliana belonging to the tribe Opsiini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) from India and its molecular phylogeny

Phylogenetic analysis with maximum likelihood (ML) using IQtree v1.4.1 of combined data reveals that the new genus Vittaliana belongs to a clade consisting of Opsius versicolor, Libengaia sp.

Remarkable Species Diversity of the Leafhopper Genus Xestocephalus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Aphrodinae) in Thailand

The common, widespread leafhopper genus Xestocephalus from Thailand is reviewed and detailed morphological descriptions of all 17 species are given, including twelve new species and four species recorded in Thailand for the first time.

Japananoides, a new leafhopper genus from China (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae).

A new genus of the tribe Opsiini from China, Japananoides gen. nov. with J. circularis sp. nov. as type species is described and illustrated. A new synonymy is also proposed: Pseudophlepsius

A review of the tribes of Deltocephalinae (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadellidae)

The classification of the largest subfamily of leafhoppers, Deltocephalinae, including 38 tribes, 923 genera, and 6683 valid species, is reviewed and revised. An updated phylogeny of the subfamily

A revision of the Varta-Stymphalus generic complex of the leafhopper tribe Scaphytopiini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) from the Old World

The genus Stymphalus is redefined to include only the type species, S. rubrolineatus (St l), and the genus is restricted to the Afrotropical region, while the genus Varta is more widespread and is distributed in the Oriental and Palaearctic regions.

Annotated check-list, generic key and new species of Old World Deltocephalini leafhoppers with nomenclatorial changes in the Deltocephalus group and other Deltocephalinae (Hemiptera, Auchenorrhyncha, Cicadellidae)

The Deltocephalus group of genera are discussed and one of the included genera, Recilia Edwards, is revised to include only two species, coronifer (Marshall) (= coroniceps Kirschbaum) and raoi (Dash & Viraktamath).

A taxonomic study of the genus Paralaevicephalus Ishihara (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) , with description of four new species from China

The paper deals with eight species of the genus Paralaevicephalus Ishihara, 1953 (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) from China, including four new species, Paralaevicephalus huaxiensis sp.

Review of the leafhopper tribe Scaphytopiini (Homoptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) with a key to genera

The leafhopper tribe Scaphytopiini is reviewed, and a key to genera given and its characters discussed.

KEYS TO THE FAMILIES OF CICADOMORPHA AND SUBFAMILIES AND TRIBES OF CICADELLIDAE (HEMIPTERA: AUCHENORRHYNCHA)

Abstract Illustrated keys to adults reflecting the current higher classification are provided for families of Cicadomorpha (cicadas, spittlebugs, leafhoppers, and treehoppers) and for subfamilies and

Revision of the Southern African leafhopper genus Pravistylus (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Deltocephalinae)

Pravistylus is assigned to the tribe Paralimnini and redescribed species include the type species, P. eductus (Naude, 1926) and P. exquadratus ( Naude, 1929).

Phylogeny of the leafhopper subfamily Deltocephalinae (Insecta: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadellidae) and related subfamilies based on morphology

A phylogeny of the leafhopper family Cicadellidae indicates that grass specialisation is much more phylogenetically conservative than implied by the current higher classification of leafhoppers.

Phylogeny of the leafhopper subfamily Deltocephalinae (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) based on molecular and morphological data with a revised family‐group classification

The results suggest that grass/sedge specialization is a phylogenetically conservative trait within Deltocephalinae.

The Fauna of British India, including Ceylon and Burma

The general character of “The Fauna of British India” is so well known, and has been so frequently commented on, that it is only necessary to say that the present half-volume is similar to those which have preceded it, and that the high character of the series is fully maintained.

THE STRUCTURE, FUNCTIONS AND POSSIBLE ORIGIN OF THE SUBGENITAL PLATE OF LEAFHOPPERS (HOMOPTERA: CICADELLOIDEA)

The occurrence in some male Cicadelloidea and Cercopoidea of 2-segmented subgenital plates supports the view that these plates, and not, as has sometimes been supposed, the parameres, have been derived from the coxites and styli of the ninth abdominal segment.
