The families Tanypezidae and Strongylophthalmyiidae are reviewed, including Neotanypeza Hendel and Tanypeza Fallen in the former and Nartshukia Shatalkin and Strongylophthalmyia Heller in the latter. Neotanypeza is revised, and Tanypezidae is analyzed phylogenetically. Scipopeza Enderlein, syn. nov., Polphopeza Enderlein(syn. Hennig (1936)), Tritanypeza Enderlein, syn. nov., and Tripolphopeza Enderlein, syn. nov., are treated as junior synonyms of Neotanypeza . The species Scipopeza dimorpha…

World review of the genus Strongylophthalmyia Heller (Diptera: Strongylophthalmyiidae). Part I: Introduction, morphology, species groups, and review of the Strongylophthalmyia punctata subgroup.
TLDR
The Strongylophthalmyia punctata subgroup, comprising 24 species with armored fore femora, and primarily to SE Asia, is reviewed, and a key to species of the subgroup is presented.
Eight new species of Strongylophthalmyia Heller from Vietnam with a key to species from Vietnam and neighbouring countries (Diptera, Strongylophthalmyiidae)
TLDR
A key to 34 species of Strongylophthalmyia of the fauna of Vietnam and continental southeast Asia, including the Oriental southern region of China is provided.
The internal female genitalia of Aulacigaster (Diptera: Aulacigastridae)—description and phylogenetic analysis
TLDR
Information extracted from the internal female genitalia corroborates and adds resolution to the results of previous analyses that employed characters of the external morphology and the male terminalia and is used to reconstruct ancestral character states and to discuss intrafamilial character state changes at and above the species group level.

TLDR
The updated catalog of the family Strongylophthalmyiidae in Europe is provided and currently includes three species and a key to species is given.
First Record of the Family Tanypezidae (Diptera: Schizophora) from Alabama
ABSTRACT: The family Tanypezidae is reported from Alabama for the first time based on a specimen of Tanypeza picticornis Knab and Shannon collected in the Red Hills region of southern Alabama. This
Checklist of the superfamilies Conopoidea, Diopsoidea and Nerioidea of Finland (Insecta, Diptera)
TLDR
A checklist of the Diptera superfamilies Conopoidea (Conopidae), NerioideA (Micropezidae, Pseudopomyzidae) and Diopsoidea(s) from Finland is presented and Myopa vicaria Walker, 1849 is formally recorded for the first time from the country.

TLDR
The ventral receptacle of B. coeca is described and illustrated in detail together with other aspects of the female reproductive tract and is of importance for correct character coding in phylogenetic analyses and in the context of studies regarding recurrent trends in the evolution of the spermathecae and the vents.
Diptera of Canada
TLDR
A total of 116 families and 9620 described species of Canadian Diptera are reported, representing more than a 36% increase in species numbers since the last comparable assessment by JF McAlpine et al. (1979).
FAMILY TANYPEZIDAE.
TLDR
The Tanypezidae of Colombia are catalogued and nine species in one genus are presented and geographical information is provided, when available.
Tanypezidae, une nouvelle famille de Diptères pour l’entomofaune de la Martinique (Brachycera, Schizophora)
TLDR
The family Tanypezidae is reported for the first time from Martinique, thanks to the discovery of Neotanypeza dallasi collected in the rainforests of Pitons du Carbet.
