Review of "Principles of Discrete Event Simulation, by George S. Fishman", John Wiley & Sons, 1978

Abstract

This is George Fishman's second book on discrete simulation (his first book was published by Wiley in 1973). In a nutshell, this is an excellent book; it is a must for readers interested in the methodology of stochastic simulation; it is not ideal as a first introduction to simulation (for an introduction use, for example, T. H. Naylor et al., Computer simulation techniques, Wiley, 1966).
