The REMOS (REverberation MOdeling for Speech recognition) concept for reverberation-robust distanttalking speech recognition [1] is presented in this paper. REMOS extends a conventional hidden Markov model (HMM) trained on close-talking data with a reverberation model describing the acoustical environment.
