Aim: To evaluate the result of inferior cavocaval shunt in the treatment of Budd Chiari syndrome(B CS) caused by short segmental obstruction in inferior cava vena. Methods:A total of 46 cases of B CS were treated by the procedure of inferior cavocaval shunt with artificial vascular graft from May 1994 to January 2001.
