The JB6 mouse epidermal cell model system is being used to study the mechanism of promotion of transformation. Promotion of anchorage independence in JB6 cells occurs in response to second-stage but not first-stage promoters, and is inhibited by inhibitors of second-stage not first-stage promotion.
