The effects of aerobic and anaerobic exercise on ventricular performance were studied in 13 normal subjects who underwent simultaneous pulmonary gas exchange evaluation and exercise radionuclide ventriculography in the supine and upright postures. Right and left ventricular ejection fraction was measured serially at 2-minute intervals during exercise.
