2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) and related halogenated aromatic hydrocarbons produce epidermal hyperplasia, hyperkeratosis and sebaceous gland metaplasia in the skin of mice bearing the recessive mutation (hr/hr) hairless.
