Bed bug, Cimex lectularius L., populations were investigated for resistance against permethrin and chlorpyrifos in a topical application bioassay, after an initial establishment of a discriminating dose with a susceptible population. For both insecticides, ca. two times the lethal dose LD99 was selected: 2,560 ng of permethrin and 200 ng of chlorpyrifos per bed bug, respectively.
