The complexity of collider data analyses has dramatically increased from early colliders to the LHC. Reconstruction of physics objects has reached a point that requires dedicated papers documenting the techniques, and periodic retuning of the algorithms themselves. Analysis methods evolved to account for the increased complexity of the final states sought and for the need of squeezing the last bit of sensitivity from the data; they often involve a full final state reconstruction—mostly…

W±Z production at the LHC: fiducial cross sections and distributions in NNLO QCD
A bstractWe report on the first fully differential calculation for W±Z production in hadron collisions up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in QCD perturbation theory. Leptonic decays of the W
HEPData: a repository for high energy physics data
TLDR
The development of the new HEPData site is described and some of the advantages it offers over the previous platform are explained.
Event generation with SHERPA 1.1
In this paper the current release of the Monte Carlo event generator Sherpa, version 1.1, is presented. Sherpa is a general-purpose tool for the simulation of particle collisions at high-energy
W+W−, WZ and ZZ production in the POWHEG BOX
A bstractWe present an implementation of the vector boson pair production processes ZZ, W+W− and WZ within the POWHEG framework, which is a method that allows the interfacing of NLO calculations to
Simplified likelihood for the re-interpretation of public CMS results
  • Physics
  • 2017
In this note, a procedure for the construction of simplified likelihoods for the reinterpretation of the results of CMS searches for new physics is presented. The procedure relies on the use of a

The search for the production of three massive vector bosons in proton$-$proton collisions, performed using data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider
Measurement and QCD analysis of double-differential inclusive jet cross sections in pp collisions at s=8$$ \sqrt{s}=8 $$ TeV and cross section ratios to 2.76 and 7 TeV
A bstractA measurement of the double-differential inclusive jet cross section as a function of the jet transverse momentum pT and the absolute jet rapidity |y| is presented. Data from LHC
Matching NLO QCD computations with Parton Shower simulations: the POWHEG method
The aim of this work is to describe in detail the POWHEG method, first suggested by one of the authors, for interfacing parton-shower generators with NLO QCD computations. We describe the method in
Les Houches 2015: Physics at TeV colliders - new physics working group report
We present the activities of the 'New Physics' working group for the 'Physics at TeV Colliders' workshop (Les Houches, France, 1-19 June, 2015). Our report includes new physics studies connected with
The Gauge-Higgs legacy of the LHC run II
We present a global analysis of the Higgs and electroweak sector based on LHC Run II and electroweak precision observables. We show which measurements provide the leading constraints on Higgs-related
