Repetitive retrograde ventriculoatrial (VA) conduction in patients with dual chamber pacemakers may cause two forms of VA synchrony. (1) Endless loop tachycardia (pacemaker-mediated tachycardia) or repetitive reentrant VA synchrony occurs when the pacemaker senses retrograde P waves.
