Although bipolar electrocoagulation as a method of laparoscopic tubal sterilization has increased the safety of the general laparoscopic technique post tubal surgery complications do still occur. Menstrual disorders occur possibly as a result of coagulation of the mesosalpinx and a resulting impairment in the ovarian blood supply.
