  • A prospective clinical study was conducted to evaluate the renal effects of methoxyflurane and halothane anesthesia over a period of 20 days in healthy young adults undergoing elective surgery. Twenty patients received methoxyflurane and 14 received halothane. No case of renal failure or apparent impaired renal function occurred.
