Abstract In this study, chitosan was cross-linked with ethylenediamine (EDA) to prepare an outstanding sorbent for the removal of anionic dye eosin Y from aqueous solution. FTIR, DTG, XPS and zeta potential analysis were used to characterize the sorbent.
