In this letter we analyze the relative scales for the GUT and twin sectors in the F-theory model discussed in Ref. \cite{Clemens-3}. There are a number of volume moduli in the model. The volume of the GUT surface in the visible sector {[}sector(1){]} (with the Wilson line GUT breaking) defines the GUT scale $M_{GUT}\sim2\times10^{16}~GeV$ as the unification scale with precise gauge coupling unification of $SU(3)\times SU(2)\times U(1)_{Y}$. We choose $\alpha_{GUT}^{-1}\sim24$. We are then free…

Heterotic-F-theory duality with Wilson line symmetry-breaking
We begin with an $E_{8}\times E_{8}$ Heterotic model broken to an $SU(5)_{gauge}$ and a mirror $SU(5)_{gauge}$, where one $SU(5)$ and its spectrum is identified as the visible sector while the other
GUTs and exceptional branes in F-theory — II. Experimental predictions
We consider realizations of GUT models in F-theory. Adopting a bottom up approach, the assumption that the dynamics of the GUT model can in principle decouple from Planck scale physics leads to a
Moduli stabilization and supersymmetry breaking in heterotic orbifold string models
In this paper, we discuss the issues of supersymmetry breaking and moduli stabilization within the context of E 8 ⊗ E 8 heterotic orbifold constructions and, in particular, we focus on the class of
Yukawa Couplings in F-theory and Non-Commutative Geometry
We consider Yukawa couplings generated by a configuration of intersecting sevenbranes in F-theory. In configurations with a single interaction point and no fluxes turned on, the Yukawa matrices have

Double real radiation corrections to t¯t production at the LHC
We present the double real radiation contributions to the $ t\overline{t} $ hadronic production cross section stemming from the partonic process $ gg\to t\overline{t}q\overline{q} $. We explicitly
Electric-magnetic duality in supersymmetric non-Abelian gauge theories
Abstract We demonstrate electric-magnetic duality in N = 1 supersymmetric non-Abelian gauge theories in four dimensions by presenting two different gauge theories (different gauge groups and quark
Numerical Kähler-Einstein Metric on the Third del Pezzo
The third del Pezzo surface admits a unique Kähler-Einstein metric, which is not known in closed form. The manifold’s toric structure reduces the Einstein equation to a single Monge-Ampère equation
Vector Bundles and F Theory
Abstract:To understand in detail duality between heterotic string and F theory compactifications, it is important to understand the construction of holomorphic G bundles over elliptic Calabi-Yau
