9 [1] Numerical model mean climatic response to realistic 10 land surface snow forcings is evaluated for two different 11 forcing regions, Siberia and North America. The atmospheric 12 teleconnection pathway and negative winter AO mode 13 response produced by the Siberia forcing, described by the 14 authors in previous studies, is not produced by the 15 comparable-extent North America forcing.
