The aim of the study was to examine to what extent the crossed inhibition of hindlimb lumbar alpha-motoneurones is evoked via interneurones that mediate reciprocal inhibition between flexors and extensors (Ia inhibitory interneurones), and to what extent via other spinal interneurones.
