Effects of vitamin E and selenium supplementation on in vitro phagocytosis and intracellular kill of bacteria by bovine neutrophils were investigated. Diets were not supplemented with vitamin E and selenium during the dry period and first 21 d of lactation. Cows were then assigned to one of four treatment diets for 30 d.
