The relationship between enkephalinase inhibition by thiorphan in vivo and analgesic activity in nociceptive tests was studied. The analgesic activity of thiorphan in various nociceptive tests was compared with that of a narcotic analgesic, morphine and antipyretic analgesic, antipyrine.
