The various p-brane solutions to supergravity theories are interrelated by a pattern of vertical and diagonal dimensional reduction trajectories on a plot of worldvolume versus spacetime dimension. Multiplicities at each location on this plot are given by G(Z)∩H, where G(Z) is the U duality symmetry and H is its isotropy subgroup for a given vacuum configuration of the scalar fields of the theory.
