We show how to derive Catterall's supersymmetric lattice gauge theories directly from the general principle of orbifolding followed by a variant of the usual deconstruction. These theories are forced to be complexified due to a clash between charge assignments under U(1)-symmetries and lattice assignments in terms of scalar, vector and tensor components for the fermions. Other prescriptions for how to discretize the theory follow automatically by orbifolding and deconstruction. We find that…

Deformed matrix models, supersymmetric lattice twists and N=1/4 supersymmetry

A manifestly supersymmetric nonperturbative matrix regularization for a twisted version of N = (8, 8) theory on a curved background (a two-sphere) is constructed. Both continuum and the matrix

From Twisted Supersymmetry to Orbifold Lattices

We show how to derive the supersymmetric orbifold lattices of Cohen et al. (1, 2) and Kaplan et al. (3) by direct discretization of an appropriate twisted supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. We examine

On the sign problem in 2D lattice super Yang-Mills

A bstractIn recent years a new class of supersymmetric lattice theories have been proposed which retain one or more exact supersymmetries for non-zero lattice spacing. Recently there has been some

An alternative lattice field theory formulation inspired by lattice supersymmetry

A bstractWe propose an unconventional formulation of lattice field theories which is quite general, although originally motivated by the quest of exact lattice supersymmetry. Two long standing

Geometry of orbifolded supersymmetric lattice gauge theories

Twisted supersymmetric invariant formulation of Chern-Simons gauge theory on a lattice

We propose a twisted supersymmetric (SUSY) invariant formulation of the Chern-Simons theory on a Euclidean three-dimensional lattice. The SUSY algebra to be realized on the lattice is the N=4 D=3

First results from simulations of supersymmetric lattices

We conduct the first numerical simulations of lattice theories with exact super- symmetry arising from the orbifold constructions of (1, 2, 3). We consider the Q = 4 theory in D = 0,2 dimensions and

Relationship between various supersymmetric lattice models

We comment on the relationships between several supersymmetric lattice models; the ``orbifold lattice theory'' by Cohen-Kaplan-Katz-Unsal (CKKU), lattice regularization of the topological field

Classification of supersymmetric lattice gauge theories by orbifolding

We provide a general classification of supersymmetric lattice gauge theories that can be obtained from orbifolding of theories with four and eight supercharges. We impose at least one preserved

Lattice supersymmetry and topological field theory

It is known that certain theories with extended supersymmetry can be discretized in such a way as to preserve an exact fermionic symmetry. In the simplest model of this kind, we show that this

Twisted Supersymmetric Gauge Theories and Orbifold Lattices

: We examine the relation between twisted versions of the extended supersymmetric gauge theories and supersymmetric orbifold lattices. In particular, for the N = 4 SYM in d = 4, we show that the

Various super Yang-Mills theories with exact supersymmetry on the lattice

We continue to construct lattice super Yang-Mills theories along the line discussed in the previous papers [1,2]. In our construction of = 2, 4 theories in four dimensions, the problem of degenerate

Super Yang-Mills theories on the two-dimensional lattice with exact supersymmetry

We construct super Yang-Mills theories with = 2,4 supersymmetries on the two-dimensional square lattice keeping one or two supercharges exactly. Along the same line as the previous paper [1], the

A geometrical approach to N = 2 super Yang-Mills theory on the two dimensional lattice

We propose a discretization of two dimensional Euclidean Yang-Mills theories with N = 2 supersymmetry which preserves exactly both gauge invariance and an element of supersymmetry. The approach
