Reinnervation of the skeletal muscle in the tongue following vago-hypoglossal anastomosis was studied by means of retrograde labelling with horseradish peroxidase and anterograde labelling with the autoradiographic tracing method combined with acetylcholinesterase staining for motor endplates.
