The posterior lateral hypothalamus (PLH) is a brain region involved in cortical activation and maintenance of behavioral arousal. Spontaneous and evoked neuronal activities were recorded in the PLH of cats before and during local warming of the preoptic-anterior hypothalamus (POAH).
