The activities of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (EC, fatty acid synthetase (FAS) and beta-hydroxy-beta-methylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase (EC were determined in subcellular fractions of livers from chicks fed different cereal-based diets.
