Regioselective pivaloylation of N-phthaloylchitosan: a promising soluble intermediate for chitosan chemistry.

Abstract

A simple and efficient pivaloylation of primary alcohols was realized on N-phthaloylchitosan that was regioselectively and entirely protected.
